Beginning work to use our therapeutics to treat and prevent vibriosis in humans. This is important due to the increased incidences of amputations and deaths associated with natural disasters such as hurricanes. The cost of human Vibrio infections is estimated to be $4.9 billion by 2050 (USDA).

Pioneering new therapies targeting bacterial diseases caused by Vibrios through innovative research and technology so that we can address disease in other hosts, such as oysters, fish, and corals.

Research and Development

Aquacultured protein sources, like shrimp, and important for allowing the natural populations in the oceans to rebuild while still feeding the growing population. Our therapeutics can be added to shrimp food via a widely used technique (called top-coating) that is easy to learn and incorporate into daily practices when needed.
